VA Mental Health Resources

VA has a variety of mental health resources, information, treatment options and more — all accessible to Veterans, Veterans’ supporters and the general public.

VA also provides and connects you with clinical resources and peer support so you can confront and manage any mental health challenge.

Find out how to access VA mental health services for posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), psychological effects of military sexual trauma (MST), depression, grief, anxiety, and other needs. You can use some services even if you’re not enrolled in VA health care.

Guardian Revival Peer Services

Peer support for veterans & first responders by veterans & first responders.

Guardian Revival is a New York State 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization chartered to revive and preserve the mental health & well-being of veterans & first responders — our guardians — at no cost to them.

Guardian Revival’s Peer Services include the 24/7 talk line, direct 1:1 peer support, and group gatherings, all led by Peer Leaders who are fellow guardians — Veterans, Active Military, Reserve, National Guard, Law Enforcement, Fire & Rescue, EMS, Dispatchers, Corrections, and Federal Agents.

The 24/7 talk line (not a crisis line) provides peer support & mental health resources, operated by guardians, for guardians. Call 845.745.0088

Women Veterans Health Care

Primary care and comprehensive women's health services include:

  • General health care and wellness checks, including routine screenings

  • Women-specific care for reproductive health (including birth control) and menopause

  • Management of long-term conditions, like heart disease and diabetes

  • Pain management and care related to musculoskeletal injuries

  • Mental health services including medications, counseling, and referrals

  • Treatment for conditions related to military sexual trauma
