Sierra Club Atlantic Chapter
The Sierra Club’s Atlantic Chapter is the oldest grassroots environmental organization in New York. They believe our open spaces, clean water, and natural resources should be protected so that current and future generations may enjoy them.
Team Red, White & Blue (Team RWB)
Team Red, White & Blue (Team RWB) exists to guide veterans through their well-being journey with real-life and virtual opportunities focused on building a healthier lifestyle because a strong focus on mental and physical health is critical to ensuring veterans’ best days are ahead.
NYBG THRIVE
New York Botanic Gardens THRIVE program welcomes veterans of all ages from the James J. Peters VA Medical Center for a day among nature—where they take part in hands-on gardening, working with plants to ease depression and anxiety, promote healing, and engage in activities for friendship and community building.
The Hudson Valley National Center for Veteran Reintegration
The Hudson Valley National Center for Veteran Reintegration (HVNCVR) offers programs that serve every aspect of the facilitation back into civilian life for a veteran – such as career/employment transition programs, financial literacy strategies, classes in social reintegration, substance abuse assistance, and integrative mental health programs, all of which are free to any participant.
Homeward Bound Adirondacks
Homeward Bound Adirondacks empowers Veterans in Northern New York to reclaim their lives and find hope beyond trauma. They provide comprehensive support services, including nature retreats, peer mentoring, crisis outreach, screenings and assessments, case management, suicide prevention, linkage and transportation, and referral services to help Veterans suffering from PTSD.
Guardian Revival
Guardian Revival is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization chartered to revive and preserve the mental health and well-being of veterans and first responders — our guardians — at no cost to them.
Cornell Cooperative Extension
Cornell Cooperative Extension provides a wealth of useful, research-based information. They offer free or low-cost workshops on topics that range from how to start an organic garden to making a home spending plan.
CompeerCORPS Rochester
CompeerCORPS Rochester facilitates peer support and opportunities for Veterans to engage, network, and form friendships with other Veterans to help re-establish the feeling of camaraderie and build positive mental health as they transition from military service to civilian life.
Capital Region Nordic Alliance Inc. (CRNA)
Capital Region Nordic Alliance Inc. (CRNA) is a recognized 501c3 Charitable not-for-profit outdoor recreation alliance, focusing on year round activities in the Nordic Sports of Biathlon, Orienteering, Snowshoeing, Cross-Country Skiing and Paralympic Nordic to the entire community, with particular attention to those individuals with special needs or disabilities.

Adaptive Sports Foundation / Warriors In Motion
The ASF’s Warriors in Motion® (WIM) program provides participating injured United States servicemen and women with a basic knowledge and practice of wellness and the importance of lifelong healthy living.
Another Summit
Another Summit organizes and leads outdoor adventure activities — walking, hiking, backpacking, and paddling — in the Hudson Valley Region of New York and across the Northeast.
Adventures in Recovery (AIR)
AIR is a Recovery Community Organization (RCO) that is dedicated to providing a safe, fun, and welcoming space for individuals to connect with peer support through adventure, wellness and exciting events.
Built by peers for peers, their families, and those within the recovery community that choose to live healthy lifestyles. Camaraderie built through shared lived experience, positive connections, and fun events. We seek to empower those in recovery to build their community, discover their inner strength, and find their recovery path.
The only requirement to attend any AIR event is 48 hours of continuous sobriety. Friends, family members, and those within the community are welcome to attend. All programs are FREE!
